Coinbase Challenges Elon Musk Over Halt in ChatGPT Development

Coinbase co-founder and CEO Brain Armstrong has challenged the position of Tesla and Twitter CEO, Elon Musk, over the halt of ChatGPT development. OpenAI’s ChatGPT application has come under criticism in recent times including from UNESCO for providing inaccurate responses to some important queries related to politics and social calls.

Brain Armstrong Advocates For New Tech

Brain Armstrong is an advocate for new technology such as AI, especially considering the resistance that the crypto ecosystem is still experiencing even after more than a decade since its emergence. He also uses ChatGPT himself as Coinbase recently used it to review securities tokens in an attempt to meet American regulations. Armstrong believes that although there are dangers with AI, we should keep marching forward with progress because the good will outweigh the bad.

Elon Musk Urges Moratorium On Advanced AI Solutions

More than 1,600 tech leaders signed an open letter calling for a 6-month moratorium on advanced AI solutions which was led by none other than Elon Musk. To this call, Brian Armstong said he was not part of it as he believes committees and bureaucracy won’t solve anything when it comes to regulating technology like AI. He also warned against anyone who tries to capture control in a central authority when it comes to these matters.
